Hunter Greene
After missing the last five weeks, Hunter Greene is back. How long he will pitch today is unknown, but it doesn’t sound like he’s expected to have a long leash in his return. Greene has faced Pittsburgh twice this season. The first time he struck out nine in 6.1 shutout innings. He faced them a week later and gave up six runs in 4.0 innings.
The splits for Greene this year aren’t big between lefties and righties. But right-handed hitters have been a little bit better across the board. The bigger splits are the home/road ones. Greene’s ERA at home is 3.39 (2.17 on the road) and his OPS against is .645 in Cincinnati (.513 on the road).

Paul Skenes
It’s been a year that has not only lived up to the hype, but exceeded it for Paul Skenes. He’s made 21 starts this season and only allowed more than two earned runs in three starts and only more than three earned runs once. He’s faced Cincinnati twice this year and has allowed one total run and struck out 16 batters with just two walks in those outings.
Skenes has dominated both lefties and righties this season. Righties have been the tiniest bit better this year than lefties against him. His home and road splits are notable as he’s got a 1.49 ERA on the road (2.51 at home) and opponents have a .481 OPS (.632 at home).
