Cheering crowds welcomed buses filled with freed Palestinians as they arrived in the West Bank and Gaza.
In the latest exchange in the ceasefire deal between Israel and Hamas, 183 prisoners and detainees were released after three Israeli hostages were handed over to the Red Cross. More than 100 of the men were detained without trial after the attack launched by Hamas on 7 October 2023. Israel has agreed to release about 1,900 Palestinians in the first stage of the ceasefire agreement, in exchange for 33 hostages
