FREMONT, Calif. — Power Knot LLC, a market leader in on-site organic waste management solutions, introduced the LCD biodigester—a new solution for the disposal of cannabis waste.

The LCD biodigester is a fully enclosed, automated system that processes cannabis waste within 24 hours, converting it into water that can be discharged into sewage systems or reused for irrigation. Available in nine sizes, it can handle waste volumes ranging from 3 kg (7 lb) to 2700 kg (6000 lb) per day.

The system utilizes a proprietary enzyme mix specifically designed to break down cannabis waste. Independent third-party testing confirms that the output contains zero residual THC and CBD, ensuring compliance with the strict regulations for the disposal of cannabis waste.

“The LCD biodigester is already in use by some of the largest cannabis growers and edibles manufacturers in North America,” said Iain Milnes, president. “These businesses face stringent regulations impacting operations, especially regarding the disposal of cannabis waste. Traditional methods—such as incineration or landfill disposal—are often costly, environmentally harmful, and inefficient. The LCD biodigester provides a sustainable, cost-effective alternative that not only ensures compliance with regulations but also aligns with their commitment to environmental responsibility. By implementing our technology, these companies can reduce waste, lower disposal costs, and contribute to a greener future.”
