PHILADELPHIA — Pashman Stein Walder Hayden P.C. added Seth A. Goldberg as co-chair of the firm’s Cannabis & Hemp Law practice and head of the firm’s new Philadelphia office. Goldberg previously practiced law for 22 years in the Philadelphia office of Duane Morris, where he spearheaded the formation of that firm’s cannabis practice group in 2015 and served as a leader of that group until he left the firm.
Goldberg is a leading lawyer in the cannabis industry and well-known for his thought leadership. For the past six years, he has been nationally ranked in the legal directory Chambers and Partners USA for Cannabis Law.
Goldberg represents cannabis and hemp clients in business disputes and litigation, regulatory matters and actions, and mergers and acquisitions. He has a deep working knowledge of the complex federal and state laws and regulations that impact cannabis businesses and ancillary entities. He has worked with the American Trade Association for Cannabis and Hemp and industry stakeholders on issues of high importance to the cannabis industry.
Goldberg says he was attracted to Pashman Stein by the firm’s multi-service practice areas and lower rate structure, which is particularly beneficial to clients in emerging industries like cannabis and hemp.
“Leading the firm’s expansion to Philadelphia is a tremendous opportunity. Pashman Stein’s lawyers are skilled in sophisticated and complex matters, and I am excited to join them in providing clients in the Philadelphia and South Jersey region with high-caliber representation,” said Goldberg.
Goldberg’s arrival expands Pashman Stein’s northeast footprint to the Keystone State, with an office location in the heart of downtown Philadelphia at One Commerce Square, 2005 Market Street. Pashman Stein now has five offices in four states: New Jersey, New York, Delaware, and Pennsylvania.
