NORTH SPRINGFIELD, Vt. —
Cannatrol, the innovators behind the cannabis industry’s only all-in-one solution for consistent drying, curing and storage, hired Michael Lucchino as executive vice president of sales and Kameron Simpson as product manager. The company also opened a regional office in Denver.
The company’s new Colorado hub in the Denver Tech Center will serve as a strategic base for the company’s western operations and upcoming distribution hub for its postharvest systems, sales of which have demonstrated strong, steady growth since inception in 2021.
“We are excited to have Michael on board. He is a seasoned professional who brings a wealth of global experience and energy to our senior leadership team,” said Jane Sandelman, CEO and co-founder. “Michael has an acute understanding of the industry’s nuances and the challenges and opportunities of a young, quickly scaling company.”
Lucchino will lead all sales efforts worldwide in both consumer and commercial channels. He joins Cannatrol after a decade at LED lighting leader Fluence.
“I am thrilled to be a part of the talented and collaborative team at Cannatrol at an incredible inflection point of its growth and journey,” said Lucchino. “As I step away from a 10-year run at Fluence, I want to extend my deep gratitude to everyone that I have had the privilege of working with over the years. To my partners and business colleagues, thank you for your unwavering support, dedication and camaraderie.”
Simpson joins after nearly 14 years at biotechnology company PhosphoSolutions and brings a unique blend of scientific understanding, product management expertise, customer-centric focus and business acumen that will drive Cannatrol’s growth and operational efficiency.
“Kameron’s role is critical,” said Sandelman. “He rounds out the marketing department and brings his strong analytical skills to our organization as well as a fresh perspective from his experience in other industries. He also knows how to be nimble—a skill that will move our business forward most efficiently and effectively.”
“I made the move to Cannatrol because I am impressed by their mission and by the research supporting their science-backed commercial and consumer products,” said Simpson. “I’m eager to utilize my experience in product management and customer success to provide the best overall experience possible for Cannatrol’s customers as we continue to grow.”
