Ajimobi’s ex-appointees mourn late gov’s daughter – Punch Newspapers

Published:

The Ajumose Marines, a body of political appointees who served under the late former Governor of Oyo State, Abiola Ajimobi, between 2011 and 2019, have expressed their condolences to the Ajimobi and Kola-Daisi families over Bisola Kola-Daisi’s death.

The PUNCH reports that Bisola died on Thursday morning at the age of 42 in the United Kingdom during a brief illness.

The former Secretary to the State Government, Olalekan Alli, in a statement by the former Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Toye Arulogun in Ibadan, the state capital, further expressed the pervading shock and dismay amongst members upon hearing the sad news.

Speaking on behalf of other political appointees, Allí noted that Bisola’s death, coming at a time when her mother and wife of former Governor Ajimobi was just adjusting to and coming to terms with the death of her husband, is a very devastating occurrence.

“Death is a debt we all owe, but this one is too sudden, as she was cut down in her prime. For us, it is a bitter pill to swallow and we are in a state of shock with this sad development.

“This was totally unexpected and we are numbed by the news. Our prayer is for the peaceful rest of her soul and that Almighty God in his infinite mercy should comfort the Ajimobi and Daisi families,” the statement read.
